The garden in March is nearly in full bloom. With the winter rains everything is growing and very alive. March is also the peak bloom for many native plants in San Diego. If rains have been good it is a great time to get out and hike some of the local trails.
Recently burned areas can have an amazing diversity of native plants in bloom.
Some years the local chaparral blooms better than the local deserts.
Many aloes have stopped blooming for the year, but the smaller ones are starting to bloom. The show of south African plants continues.
