January is the start of "Spring" in San Diego. If we have had rain many plants start growing and many more start blooming. This is especially true of plants from winter rain areas of the world, like Australia and South Africa. Many of the large aloes are in bloom. Many more are sending up their bloom stalks. Everything is green and plumped up.
